Our church is all about serving and they do a great job of organizing service days for us to be able to love on our community. DJ and I have cleaned, painted, picked oranges, visited elderly, and organized donated clothes in the past but we've never served with our kids. This time, we were able to drop Mika off in the nursery and spend the morning serving local firefighters with Eli and Maci. The kids decorated cookies and made thank-you cards that we brought to a couple fire stations, along with lunch some handy men at church made. It was a great day and a great way to teach our littles about giving and serving others. AND the kids got to shoot down a caution cone with a fire hose.
